City Capture

Jonker Walk has been labelled as the main attraction of the Malacca (Melaka) city. Nevertheless, what I found most fascinating in my last visit was the river that spans across the city. Jonker Walk is just one part of it, the cultured buildings and shop houses showcasing local artefacts alongside the river are not to be missed by any visitors.

Malacca River, was once called the ‘Venice of the East‘ by European seafarers.

It was a prominent port of entry for traders from both Europe and Asia in the late 16th century (Thanks Wikipedia).

Captured this during my last visit after ten years!
